My family recently went away to my Uncle's cottage, so I took the opportunity away from the light pollution to capture some pictures of the stars. These photos definitely took some experimenting, but I found that a tripod and a high powered flash light were invaluable tools. I used the flash light to "paint" light onto the trees in the first few shots, and in the second shot the neighbor's campfire added the orange light. Most of these shots were taken with a low aperture and a shutter speed of about 30 seconds.
